Tickets are up on sale for Warhammer fest.

Can't find any news on GD category information for this year yet though.

Just saw that, Max Falej messaged me with it on twitter.  Better yet i already own the figure for the masterclass in blister.

Interesting about new categories, ill need to go over it with a cup of coffee as just in from a day out with the wife.

Yep, very hard!

But I think still many people will tackle it, I think I will do it just to imporve my skills and push myself but I would never paint this model if it wasnt for this reason...

Shame they scraped Necroumnda Gang and BloodbBowl team categories as I'm sure some people were already working on their entries but I guess there is a positive side to it too...

What are everyone's thoughts? Are you happy with the rules?

It's not like you can't enter a gang or a team, they just got merged into the units categories.
Competition will be a little fiercer as you will have more people crammed into one category but that always a bit random.

It mixes it up a bit which is good, but makes it an even more crowded field.

I have that mini already so i am going to tackle it and see as i like the category and the timeframe is the same for everyone, if a bit tight!

Got the info about the categories half a year ago so no real surprise heh. On the bright side you dont have to paint a whole gang or team, 3 minis are enough which make it more managable.

Dont like the em mini so probably not going to paint it, at least not for the uk fest.

Got my ticket for the weekend. Doss anyone know if entries can be submitted from the Saturday or is it only the Sunday? This will affect how early I decide to arrive ha.

Got my entries on the go. Entering AoS single, 40k single, 40k squad, open and possibly a duel depending on how much time I have.

I think you can enter on Saturday from 12:00 but I'm not sure.

Although, if there are a large number of entries, getting in later could be beneficial as earlier entries get pushed to the back. Anyone got any thoughts on the wider science of entering? Timings etc? Maybe I'm over thinking a bit.

Make your entry truly outstanding and you won't have to worry about where it's put or when  :)

(I completely understand that being put at the back of the bottom shelf will mean you get less time looked at, but if it's good enough to win a Demon, it should probably only need a glance to register as a great piece)

Yeah you're right really, I came to that conclusion myself. I was just trying to figure whether it was worth braving the queues to get on the shelves early. I think there are little things you can do to stack the deck in your favour though. A slightly wider plinth to keep other entries from crowding the personal space of your entry.. Which is what I may or my not be doing...
