Marc's Unbound Diorama
« on: October 12, 2018, 11:22:35 am »
Hey all,

Here's my Comic Style diorama that I'll be entering in the Unbound category. It's going into an Armies on Parade at the moment, but I still have a bit of time to keep working on it before November's Open Day.

I have more photos, but there's a limit on uploads. The photos are also shown at this instagram post:
but I'll try to upload them one at a time here.

Thanks a bunch!

This is one of my entries and then I'm working on a duel and maybe a vehicle if I can get it done in time (highly unlikely).

For me, the big question is whether the super different style will be awarded by the judges or ignored. I'm a little scared that it'll just plain be ignored because it's super hard to judge it against more standard styles. We'll find out the answer to that question in a month and a half though.

A++ for creativity. I love it. As for chances of it winning a demon, gd is mostly a painting competiton. If the blendings are nice and paintjob well execuded i dont think this has any problem to score  :) a good idea rarly help if the paintjob isnt top level though.

Thanks! That's good food for thought. It's going to be an interesting decision for the judges because this style doesn't have any blending in it . . . it's entirely hard edges and high contrast.

Still, I think it'll be a good idea for me to go back over the entire diorama and see if there's anything I want to clean up.
