Basing material
« on: January 21, 2019, 07:58:46 am »
So I have an entry lined up for the AOS single, and I want to base him in an area wihh heavy vegetation. My question is will using basing material not from gw (their vegetation range is so poor, and I don't want to use plastic plants) affect results in the judging? I'd like to think the judges will look past something like that, and some of the previous entries I've looked at contained trees and other types of flora clearly not made by gw. What do you guys think?

If the base is clearly not compatible with GW products, it's a no go (like lip bases) but beyond that i think you're good.

Well I'm planning on using a branch off cut which I've prepared, cut and filed myself for the actual base, but I wanted to put grass tufts, bushes and plants on it. I have some citadel tufts but for the general underbrush they don't really make anything suitable. I have a glade basing set from Oliver spaeth, some of you might know him on insta. Which has amazing foliage in it, I just didn't want to be disqualified for using it

You can use anything that can be made by you (as in collected in the garden or handmade, sculpted).
